Insurance procedures for Teams Season 2007 to 2008
Ratoath Harps insurance covers all activities of football Club ie Training and all
competitive & Friendly matches
All injuries must be reported to team management Immediately and also to Club
Insurance officer (Contact Details outlined Below) who will advise next course of
action as any notification after 30 Days will render claim void ( This is the
individual players responsibility.)
Pysiotherapy is covered up to € 250.00 per player per season and we have now
secured services of Lorna Flood Sports Therapist (Contact Details Below)who will
Attend all 1st team home Games and also will do clinics 1/2 Nights a week depending
on Volume of Injuries and players must call in advance to arrange suitable
appointment. If injury cannot be dealt with by Lorna she will refer player to Rataoth
Physiotherapy where you pay bill and obtain receipt for reimbursement. We wish to
clearly state that any Physiotherapy bills including Ratoath Physiotherapy will
not be paid unless agreed by Lorna . Please note the above reporting procedures
with regard to injuries must be adhered to before treatment commences and all players
must be fully paid up members and lotto compliant at otherwise claim will be void.
Any player who attends Accident and Emergency must pay the relevant charge and
obtain a receipt for same and forward to club insurance officer and doctor in hospital
can issue letter stating physiotherapy is required saving a trip to GP.
All medical expenses other that Accident and Emergency treatment must be certified
by G.P. Medical Expenses are for irrecoverable expenses only, therefore if a player
holds VHI,BUPA,VIVAS or similar health insurance then they must pursue a claim
under that policy first.

The Club maintains personal injury insurance for all of its players, managers, coaches and officials. Details can be obtained at

or from the Club Registrar. The Club has chosen Gold Cover level.
The Club's insurance is a secondary insurance. Members are expected to claim under private health insurance where available i.e. VHI, BUPA etc.
N.B. It is critically important that all personal injuries claims be notified to the Club Registrar, Gerry Doody, within 30 days if insurance cover is to be maintained. Claims notified to our insurers after that time will not be entertained.
